Access Programmes

Providing access to art and culture has been a priority at the Belvedere for over ten years. Here you can find programmes for people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing that enable them to experience the museum’s collections and exhibitions in a way that meets their needs. All the access programmes were developed in close collaboration with consultants with the disability, based on the maxim: Nothing for people with disabilities without people with disabilities.

Programme for Visitors with Visual Impairment

Please touch! This is the message of all the “Seeing Differently” tours for blind and partially sighted visitors that take place on a regular basis. This tactile experience is enhanced by auditory descriptions about the artists, their working methods, and the objects, enabling a completely new experience of the Belvedere’s paintings and sculptures. For groups of 5+, “Seeing Differently” tours about “Gustav Klimt” and “The Belvedere – A Tactile Palace” can also be booked in English.
